At Campaquip we are proud to be the global design leader in full sized cast iron griddles that fit Weber Q models perfectly. Though they are not official weber products, they bring new life to your barbecue. Designed to cook the food that is impossible on the grill, like fried eggs for example. The plate also limits gas from tainting your food and protects your barbecue from mess caused by drips.

  • Is this a Weber brand product?

    No, it is a CAMPAQUIP product. Weber®, and Q™ are registered trademarks of Weber-Stephen Products Co. Campaquip is not in any way affiliated with Weber-Stephen Products Co.

  • Can I use 2 half bbq plates to make a full bbq plate?

    No, the half bbq plates rest directly against the manifold which means there is no gap between the bbq plates to allow airflow through the BBQ, causing a gas build up which is dangerous.

  • I have a Weber breakfast or premium bbq plate. Why should I buy your full bbq plate?

    Those bbq plates are typically slow to heat as they only sit on top of the grate bbq plate. There is no direct flame, therefore heat must be transferred from one bbq plate to another. This method results in extra gas usage, extra heating time and the lid must be closed to completely heat the bbq plate.

  • Do I have to cook with the lid down while using the CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate?

    No. The CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate is safe to cook with the lid up or down. Our full bbq plate was developed for over 2 years to ensure the correct volume of metal is used to manufacture it which will accept and retain heat from the burners.

  • Is there enough ventilation around the bbq plate when using it?

    Yes. The bbq plate was designed and tested to Australian Standard AS/NZ4557. Copies of the test reports are available on request.

  • Will the flame go out with this bbq plate?

    No. It is designed with ample spaces as well as a hole in the middle of the bbq plate which allows for sufficient airflow.

  • Will the BBQ overheat with the lid down?

    No. Our tests were carried out with the lid down. Campaquip has run a BBQ for over 2 hours with the lid down and there was no damage.

  • Does the bbq plate sit over the grill bbq plate?

    No. It is designed to fit into the position of the grill bbq plate.

  • What can I cook on the CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate?

    The CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate can be used to cook anything you wish! Using a CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate allows you to cook lid up or down and prepare your BBQ according to your preferences.

  • Will it damage my grill?

    No. The CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate has been developed & tested for over 2 years and more than 100 hours. This testing includes use with heat on one barbeque covering all areas of concern such as heat, fumes, flame, Carbon Dioxide, with lid up & lid down, and more.

  • What do I have to do before I use the bbq plate?

    We recommend that you lightly brush the bbq plate with cooking oil and heat well before you start cooking.

  • Does it have a non-slip finish?

    The finish is cast iron, porcelain enamel which is for protection from rust.

  • Is it easy to clean?

    Yes, the CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate is porcelain enamelled for easy cleaning. Our bbq plate is also dishwasher safe.

  • Will it rust?

    No, undamaged the CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate will not rust as it is porcelain enamelled. Only if somehow damaged could it potentially rust. However, even with rust, your bbq plate would not deteriorate for many years.

    Yes, it is possible to store the CAMPAQUIP full bbq plate in your Weber grill. You can put the grate over this bbq plate and close the lid.
